Reducing waste and recycling more

We typically generate around 200,000t of waste annually, with over 99% of this being excavation spoil. In 2024 we sent 0.00% of our waste to landfill and are on track to achieve our target of <0.1% by 2026. Additionally, during 2024 we reduced office and depot waste by 17% compared to our 2018 baseline, and saved 150,000 tonnes of primary aggregates by using recycled materials in excavations.
