Strong and effective governance

NGN maintain a board of executive and non-executive directors who are independent of the day-to-day management of the company, with the exception of the NGN Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is a Board member and leads the company EMT (Executive Management Team) who in turn manage the company.

The Board monitors progress via key performance indicators (KPIs), linking EMT pay to sustainability and safety goals. The Board has seven committees, including an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Committee, to assist the Board with its duties and allow detailed consideration of complex issue, including sustainability risks and strategies. Supported by internal groups and external forums, NGN drives strategic sustainability commitments through its People and Planet Strategy.
